Be The Gatekeeper: Leverage Your Subconscious & Conscious Faculties

It’s up to you to decide what you want most out of life and if you’ll get it or not. Your subconscious mind and your conscious mind have absolutely everything to do with this.

Seem hard to believe?

When was the last time you wanted something SO bad that you focused on it, talked about it every day, did whatever it took to get it, and then ended up getting it?

You became so obsessed with getting that thing, that no one or no physical thing could get in your way to sway your progress.

Also, what was happening the last time you let your mind wander to worry?

You were focusing on some undesirable outcome, vividly, you inevitably brought negative feelings up and then that thing happened. This phenomenon was working in reverse. Thought + feelings = results.

Good or bad.

When you’re focusing on something so intensely and it’s what dominates your thinking, you are bound to get it, provided you do what it takes.

Our conscious and subconscious minds work like this too.

Awareness & Gatekeeping: How Your Subconscious Mind Differs From Y0ur Conscious Mind

Lemme ‘splain.

The subconscious mind is the mechanism that is beating your heart right now, helping you unthinkingly breathe, helping your blood flow through your veins and your cells rebuild your physical body.

The conscious mind is a mechanism in which you are using to think thoughts, focus on objects and situations, and affirm different mind-scripts of yours. You’re using it consciously to tell your subconscious what to create through repetition.

In this way, you can sift through the thoughts that are not helpful to where you want to go.

As soon as you become a filter, and you hold these thoughts in your mind, your subconscious mind goes to work. It’s even working while you’re sleeping.

Why, then, would you look to plant unproductive, negative thoughts and habits into your subconscious through repeating it with your conscious mind? Remember all things must balance out and you sow whatever you reap.

It makes no sense to plant negativity, yet many people do so without thinking.

They do this because they’ve learned certain patterns from their family members or people they were raised by. Certain pathways of thought get inherently downloaded through osmosis. It’s inevitable.

The part that is not set in stone is the control that you have over your own mind and your own subconscious habits.

You have direct control over your conscious mind, which in turn controls your subconscious mind. This gives you indirect control over your subconscious mind. When you control the conscious, which is the vehicle that passes onward to the subconscious mind, you tell it what to make.

So you decide exactly what is created by your subconscious, by repeating thoughts and habits.

We become what we focus on and think about.

You can feed the subconscious through the conscious and tell it what to think, dwell on, and feel. You can avert your path from destructive and negative to positive and uplifting. It’s a simple set of choices you need to make to do so.

Keys to the Gate

1. Don’t Entertain Negative Thoughts

Remember that negative thoughts will come by. Self-doubting thoughts will come knocking.

These cannot be avoided, but you can choose how you respond to them. If you let them dwell in your abode, you will suffer the consequences.

This is where your choice comes in – you don’t have to let them dwell with you. You can see them approaching and slam the door in their face before they get inside the home of your mind.

2. Remember That We Are Not Our Minds

You don’t need to identify with every thought that comes by.

It’s not just yours; you didn’t create every single thought that you think. Don’t needlessly suffer because you’ve got some intimate connection with everything you think.

The thoughts aren’t all yours. However you can control most of your thoughts by creating the actual ones you want to be in your mind space.

Filter out what you don’t want, and keep in what you do want.

3. Replace Unhelpful Thoughts With Constructive Ones

This is the vital last piece of the puzzle.

You’ve got to figure out ways to substitute harmful thoughts in your head now with what is helpful to your progress and success. You’re going to want to pull out the old thoughts, but if you don’t substitute them they will just come right back.

Ensure that you’ve got positive, constructive, and progressive thoughts bouncing around in your head so you can produce great value in your life and for others.

These thoughts seem to magnetize more thoughts and people on the same level. Once you make your mind think positively, you will find more ways to help yourself grow.

The first two keys to this system do not work without the last step.

Just eradicating limiting beliefs and mindsets alone will not do.

This is because negativity resides in the world and will come back again and again into your mind, should you entertain these thoughts.

4. Affirm Positive Sayings

You can use affirmations to your benefit that help you notice and pursue things that you want to achieve. They are very powerful in that your conscious mind is repeating things you’re interested in achieving, and they are imprinted on your subconscious mind as a result.

Then the subconscious mind begins working on what it is that you want and you can begin to see more steps and ways that you can complete them.

You must take action on these important insights; they are there for a reason.

As always, be conscious of what you’re telling yourself, watch the way you uplift or degrade yourself, and always keep moving towards a solid and worthwhile goal.

How to Utilize Control of Your Faculties

Your subconscious mind is the one that really has the power to create what you want, and it will be controlled completely by what you’re giving it.

You consciously give it what you want to focus on and grow, and you will get very far if you stick with the repetition enough.

This is because through neuroplasticity, your brain actually changes its firing patterns and physical structure according to what you feed it.

It’s like your body.

If you’re not feeding it beneficial food, it will atrophy over time. Your brain degrades in a similar way and requires goals and motives to keep it stimulated.

If the subconscious has nothing to work on it will grow tired and lazy, similar to the body.

Force a healthy diet for the mind and brain by focusing all your power on getting better at who you are and what you do.

Repeat and pound in the constructive thoughts that will help you take control of your life and consciously steer it where you want it to go.

The world is your oyster, and your vehicle is yourself.

Upgrade, critique, fine-tune it all you wish until you’ve gotten to where you want to be in life. Then do it again for the next steps!

You must be the gatekeeper controlling what passes from the conscious to the subconscious.
